Race around the world

At the pole, every Christmas we have a "Race around the World"- since here we can literally walk through all time zones.  It was 2.3 miles, and I walked part of it, ran part of it.  We had pretty crummy weather on Christmas eve here.  The winds were blowing a good 20+, and it was something below 0.  This is me walking... It was a whiteout kind of day..

  1. I would love to add that to my running resume. Not many people can say they have done that.

  2. Rick- The top finisher (man and woman) of the race around the world at pole gets a ride to McMurdo to participate in the marathon there. I have no doubt you would win here!! The top guy ran the 2.3 in 19 minutes. (Have I convinced you to get a job in Antarctica yet??!)

  4. Happy New Year Kristina!! We are spending the evening at home in Smyrna Georgia. We really enjoy it here! Read with great interest your reports and love the frozen eye lashes! We met some neighbors a few months ago who said they were going to spend some time at or near your location this summer (winter for us). If you here of an older couple from Smyrna, Georgia tell them we said hello. Best to you in the new year!! Doug Peterson
